Order the handmade tortillas and dip it in the orange hot sauce, anything else will be a bland waste of $$.

I loved the restaurant and fully intend to go back. Even had a good laugh at my eating one of their dips that was waaaaaaay to hot for my taste buds. You just have to try all the dips.

One of Omaha's most authentic Mexican restaurants. Fajitas and tacos al pastor (w/out pineapple) are the bomb. Their homemade salsa selection tray (not for the faint of heart) is the best I've had anywhere. Get out of your car outside in Omaha and pass through their front door into Mexico. Staff is always will to accommodate the use of Spanish. So, Trini's for fish tacos and El Rancho for all other plates are the only two Mexican restaurants I need.

Ordered a large order on Mother’s Day! They had it made in record time even tho it was to go the food was packaged well and the customer service was amazing. They even gave my mother and I small Mother’s Day baskets I will recommend this place over and over again not to mention the price was great we couldn’t even finish our food! And they gave us 5 different Salsas like you would get if you went in to dinner! Amazing restaurant

Authentic Mexican food at reasonable price!

I’ve been looking everywhere for authentic Mexican food, and this is the best place I’ve found! I really liked that it’s not Tex mex. The red sauce tastes just like the red chile sauce I used to get in New Mexico, so good!!

What an unexpectedly great find. I loved their breakfast menu with cinnamon coffee, a complimentary salsa platter including a squash salsa, and delicious Mexican eggs! Much more food than we needed and so tasty! I really appreciate the paper straws as well. Now they just need to get rid of the Styrofoam kiddie cups! Will definitely be back.

The food was fantastic I mean absolutely fantastic. I would have to say we're talking authentic Mexican cuisine, by far the best Omaha has to offer. Thank you to Carmella and her crew for taking me down South fora moment !!

Great little place to eat. Our waitress was great and recommended the tacos. I would have to say that the beef burrito was my fav but tacos were delicious too! My kids had quesadillas and they said they were the best they've ever had, and that's saying something! The beans were just ok and the chips to but everything else was pretty good. Would definitely go back.

The staff is very friendly, the food is outstanding, and the menu is pretty simple because this is comfort food done right and that's not complicated. The homemade salsas and pickles that are served with tortillas are a good indicator of how much they care. Everything we've had has been excellent, but their tamales are pretty amazing. The masa and filling have always been perfect, neither dry nor greasy. Highly recommend this place for great Mexican food.

One of my top picks for sit down tacos. The salsa tray is impressive and tasty. The tacos were delicious and I love how they give you a frozen mug for beers.

The food is generally very good as was the service. When they get busy it gets quite noisy inside so if you need a quiet venue then you may want to eat elsewhere. Chips and multiple salsa flavors were provided and well enjoyed by our group. Overall a good place to eat.

For $12 beef Fajitas not a bad deal. There was not much meat, but the vegetables in the dish were hot and tasty and price was good. Tortilla, though hand made was not what I am used to. Guess us healthy version with less lard and more baking soda. Sauses were more taco like than Fajita like. No cheese, pico de gallo or guacamole. Not what I am used to in Colorado or Texas, but still good deal for the price.

Always one of our favorite places to go! we have been going for years. We love Lupe and he treats our our family like part of his!

Great authentic mexican food my favorite

I ordered The Shrimp Ceviche & Al Pastor Mini Tacos through Door Dash. What Was delivered was Octopus & Shrimp Ceviche. That's Not What I Ordered The Al Pastor Had No Flavor. I'm Cubana and I'm Soo Disappointed In The Latin Flavors In Omaha, NE. For ANYONE that may want to say something Ignorant. I was born and bred right here in the USA my Father Is a Cardiologist in the Air Force.

Service is excellent, the food was done right. Beautiful all the way around. Most definitely recommend.

El Rancho serves fine Mexican cuisine! Excellent salsa variety and the tacos are great. Make sure to order a margarita for the full experience!

It is safe to say this is the worse Mexican food I ever had. We we traveling and stopped in this area for lunch, worse food of our trip. No seasoning, no flavor, just a lot of salt, glad I dont live in this town, where I come from there’s amazing Mexican restaurants. I highly doubt that if I would’ve asked for something else it would’ve been seasoned and cooked better, how does a good cook - cook one dish better than the other?

Moved to Omaha from Denver less than a year ago, I expected authentic Mexican food to be hard to find. It is a little trickier here but El Rancho is the real thing. I haven't had chicken pozole in a few years, something my ex BFs mom would make. It's a tough dish to find most places. The quality and taste of everything is amazing! Home cooked taste and very fresh ingredients! Already looking forward to my next order!

One of my favorite spots. Good food made the right way for my liking. I wish they had more desserts. I do like that we can order in Spanish and they don't scoff at me too much. They are always kind. Their bathrooms could use an upgrade for sure, but the food and service has always outweighed that for me.

Absolutely delicious had the best refried beans on the face of the Earth I've ever tasted. The service was absolutely wonderful even though we were English speaking the lady who served us she spoke very fluid English made a very easy order of menu. I don't know I would definitely go back and have some more and try some more the different meals.

Great Mexican cusine. You get a huge tray of condiments sauces/vegies to go with great chips. Had lunch $4.99 4 beef tacos..excellent.! Have visited about 5 times..never disappointed.

I was visiting town for a conference and just happened to spot the place. I love it! Authentic food. Speedy service. Hot food. The tray of salsas was something I haven't seen before I loved it. If I ever go into town again I will definitely be stopping there!

A unique hidden gem. Simple yet excellent menu! That's all we need for real deal food. The quality was excellent. The homely feel of the food was awesome. I really enjoyed the El Pastor taco! Good job on the salsa platter!
